Matt Mitchell, Director/Producer

Matt Mitchell is a student in the Canterbury Dramatic Arts Program and has produced and directed several films and plays in Ottawa, ON, and Victoria, BC. He is the Founder and Head of Vibe Pictures, a cooperative film production company based around the ideals that the company would be student-run and non-profit. Gathering experience and technique with every film, and allowing cast and crew to contribute to a 'melting pot' vision rounded by his own, he aspires to break into the world of feature filmmaking applying his own distinct style. He has attended many film workshops and has written several screenplays. His experience in videography ranges from him being the Official Festival Videographer for the Canadian National Youth Film Festival, to the directing and producing of several corporate videos. Through the Canadian National Youth Film Festival, he has edited commercials which have aired on the A-Channel and CTV numerous times. He developed and created the Film Program for Canterbury's March Break Mini Arts Camp, and is currently the Arts Leader and instructor for the program.
